The Microsoft Commute Team:
Lynn Frosch, Jeff Aumell, Randall Williams, Fred Martin, Daniel Heldring and Wendy Scholtz, with Grubb and Ellis Management Services

This is the team that oversees the Microsoft Corporation’s multi faceted transportation program strategies and implementation in the region, for over 100 buildings in Redmond, Issaquah, Bellevue and Seattle for 55,000 employees in King County. The achievement is clear: approximately 38% of the campus populations do not drive alone. With support from Microsoft, the Microsoft Connector and Shuttle Services operated by MV Transportation and the Microsoft Commute led by Grubb and Ellis, has resulted in many programs and measures. The Microsoft Commute team is an integral part of the larger program. This team walks the talk and each represents outstanding efforts and commitments on behalf of Microsoft’s management. Each deserves recognition for their collective and dynamic team efforts for amazing achievements.

The Microsoft Transportation Program is managed by Lynn Frosch, Microsoft Transportation Services Manager. Lynn is a Commute Trip Reduction (CTR) Board member for Washington State. Lynn oversees the Commute Team, the Intra Campus shuttle and the Connector Bus programs for Microsoft in Puget Sound. Lynn is a bus rider and a biker!

Jeff Aumell is the Transportation Manager for the Commute Team and has over 20 years of experience in regional planning and commute programs in the region. Jeff is a collaborator with state and local governments. Randall Williams is a Transportation Specialist and a vanpooler himself. He has 12 years of experience in public transportation including car and vanpool formation in the region. Randall is responsible for the ORCA program administration. Fred martin is a Transportation Specialist with over 20 years experience in parking. Fred is the key to the management of the valet program, parking management, campus expansions and parking policy issues. Daniel Heldring is a Transportation Specialist and is a Bus rider himself. Daniel works with the R-Trip program bike reimbursements, ORCA administration and program measurement. Wendy Scholtz brings ten years of experience in transportation management implementation for programs to the team. Wendy works with ORCA administration and marketing and communications. The team works together as partners in the community.

*Some definitions: An "ETC" is the staff-level employee transportation coordinator responsible for the daily administration of the transportation program. "SOV" stands for single-occupant vehicle, and "CTR" for commute trip reduction.
