Mary has been the ETC at this Kent-based company for several years and has successfully managed the transportation benefits program at the largest supplier of specialized metal finishing for aerospace and military in the Pacific Northwest. Hytek, a division of Esterline Technologies, operates three shifts making the job of connecting employees for ridesharing a challenge.
Mary regularly communicates information to all employees and works to customize individual commutes. Hytek has a strong subsidized vanpool program, a reduced fee ORCA pass program and offers Metro’s Homefree Guarantee program to participating employees. Mary herself is a dedicated Sounder train rider and drives a vanshare between the station and work.
Mary’s job as Executive Assistant to the President helps bridge the gap between management and employees. Her hard work and dedication has resulted in a decrease of 24% in Hytek's drive alone rate.
*Some definitions: An "ETC" is the staff-level
