2005 Diamond Award/ETC Leadership

Jeri Moshier
US Army Corp of Engineers, Seattle

  • Jeri Moshier, ETC and Program Manager
  • Colonel Debra M. Lewis, District Commander

Low SOV rate a credit to ETC's hard work and initiative
Creativity, enthusiasm and willingness to take the initiative to produce results are keys to Jeri Moshier’s success in reducing commute trips. The Army Corps of Engineers, located in the Duwamish area of Seattle, has an impressive SOV rate of 13%. Jeri’s organization and promotion of transportation benefits has led to 64 vanpoolers, 31 carpoolers, 40 bus riders, bikers and walkers along with teleworkers and employees who work compressed workweeks. As an ETC, Jeri assists employees with ridematching opportunities to help form vanpools and carpools. Her hard work and determination prove her very deserving of this award. Jeri has worked for the Army Corps of Engineers for 32 years.

*Some definitions: An "ETC" is the staff-level employee transportation coordinator responsible for the daily administration of the transportation program. "SOV" stands for single-occupant vehicle, and "CTR" for commute trip reduction.
